Yttrium-based heavy rare earth nodulizer: In the manufacturing process of ductile iron, the metal or alloy that can promote the transformation of graphite from flake to spherical is called nodulizer. Magnesium ferrosilicon alloys containing rare earth elements can also neutralize despheroidizing elements; yttrium-based rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloys with yttrium as the main active ingredient are also called yttrium-based rare earth nodulizers and yttrium-based heavy rare earth nodulizers . With strong anti-spheroidizing and fading ability, it is the preferred nodularizing agent for the production of thick and large iron castings.

 

1. The grade and chemical composition of yttrium - based heavy rare earth nodulizers for DY series thick and large-section castings are shown in Table 1:

 

Product features and application range  :  

 

1. Compared with similar products of light rare earth, this product has strong anti-recession, anti-graphite distortion, anti-interference element ability, no worry about spheroidization recession, can ensure the same performance of castings, and has a wide range of applicable raw materials, no sulfur return, The phosphorus eutectic is reduced and dispersed. It is an ideal nodulizer to solve the international casting problem of low quality of thick and large cross-section castings caused by recession, especially the low quality and unstable quality of the core of the main body, and low yield.

2. This product is suitable for the production of ultra-thick and large-section castings. Its treatment process is basically the same as that of light rare earth nodulizers. It is suitable for spheroidization of molten iron at a temperature of 1400-1550°C and the addition of 1.0-1.8% by ordinary injection method . (Depending on the level of impurities in the molten iron), after the nodulizer is put into the bag, it is covered with ferrosilicon or iron filings and iron plates, so no special desulfurization and cooling measures are required. After the spheroidization reaction, there is no spheroidization recession, and the spheroidization rate is >80% , and the roundness of graphite is good.

2. The grade and chemical composition of the yttrium-based heavy rare earth composite nodulizer for ZY series medium-sized castings are shown in Table 2:

   

Product features and application range:

 

1. It has strong anti-spheroidization decline, anti-graphite distortion ability and anti-interference element ability, strong nodularization ability, no worry about nodularization recession, and can easily and conveniently produce high-quality castings with the same appearance and appearance under the existing production conditions , widely used in the production of castings with thick and large sections ( section > 80mm) , its treatment process is basically the same as that of light rare earth nodulizers, suitable for molten iron temperature 1400-1550°C , ordinary punching method spheroidization, the addition amount is 1.0-1.8 % ( depending on the level of impurities in molten iron ) ,

2. After the nodulizer is put into the bag, it is covered with an appropriate amount of ferrosilicon, iron filings or iron plates, so there is no need to take special desulfurization and cooling measures. After the spheroidization reaction, under normal circumstances, the spheroidization grade can be guaranteed to be above grade 3 within 2.5 hours , and the spheroidization rate is high, the number of balls is large, and the roundness of graphite is good.

3. The grade and chemical composition of the special heavy rare earth nodulizer for XY series high-quality small and medium-sized castings are shown in Table 3:

   3. Wide adaptability of raw materials, specially designed to solve poor spheroidization,

6. Physical properties :

1. The particle size of the product ranges from 5 mm to 25 mm , 5 mm to 30 mm , 8 mm to 40 mm, and 10 mm to 45 mm, and those less than the lower limit and greater than the upper limit shall not exceed 5% of the total mass.

2. The MgO content of the product is not more than 10% of the Mg content,

3. The Al content of the product is not more than 1.0 %,

4. The appearance of the product is irregular and blocky, not pulverized, and the new section is silver-gray.

5. If the buyer has other requirements on chemical composition, particle size, etc., the supplier and buyer shall negotiate separately .

 

 

7. Packaging, logo and quality certificate  

1. Packaging and marking: The product is packed in a double-layer woven bag lined with a plastic bag, with a clear name and quantity mark, 25kg/ bag, and the packaging method can also be selected according to user requirements;

2. Quality certificate: issue a product quality certificate that meets the user's requirements and conforms to the product.
